Ayurvedic Abyangha Massage
Translated from Sankrit, the term Ayurveda means "the science of life". It refers to an ancient Indian system of medicine, which is holistic and natural. Ayurveda gives a great importance to the "Pathya", or lifestyle of the person (eating habits, personal routine). It offers instructions on how to adjust our lifestyle according to the changing seasons. The Ayurvedic massage is a South Indian oil massage that is used to maintain wellness. Although it is taught in India by doctors in Ayurveda, the technique used in this massage remains within a mindset of well-being and relaxation purposes and without any therapeutic purposes. This wrapping massage, with soft strokes and large movements, is used to relax and enhance energy circulation.

Amma massage on a chair, for companies
Inspired by Japanese techniques, this seated massage, also called Amma, is widely used in the United States in companies. I come to your place of work, where I massage your company's team, for 20 minutes each. The person being massaged keeps his or her clothes on and sits in a chair that I bring for the session.

Balinese massage
A mixture of Indian, Thai and Chinese influences, Balinese massage is very varied and original. For those who opt for a one and a half hour session, the massage will begin with the foot bath ritual. Then, the massage combines kneading and pressure through the sarong, then on the skin without oil, then large strokes kneading, sliding pressures and percussions with oil. The session ends with a sitting sequence to re-energize the person being massaged.

Baby massage, inspired by Ayurveda
Individual or group sessions
Traditionally, it is the mother or father who massages their baby rather than someone else. Other than the benefits of the massage itself, this helps to maintain and strengthen the bond between them and their baby. This massage training is for parents who wish to learn how to massage their baby, according to the gestures drawn from Ayurveda. I organise 1 our sessions, but it will be the baby who will determine the actual massage time. Through several sessions, it is possible to acquire 2 massage techniques, one with oil and one with a ball of paste. In India, this massage, called "Shantala" is a family habit anchored since thousands of years, the mother was massaged during her pregnancy and she takes over at the birth of her baby. Most of the time, women learn from mother to daughter.

The pregnant woman massage according to Ayurveda is very enveloping, with hot oil. It is part of the Indian culture since 5000 years. Ayurveda, meaning "science of life", pregnant women are concerned by it ! The gestures and the sequence are specially adapted to balance their energy without disturbing the development of the baby, by avoiding certain sensitive areas. Its practice evolves with the different stages of pregnancy.
